Calendar/Time Mode

Calendar/Time display with calendar, year, month, date, hour, minute and second.


1. Press (TIME) key to enter normal (or local) time mode. (Year, month, date, day of week, hour, minute, second and current months calendar are shown on the LCD simultaneously). A symbol is shown after the name of the city. If you press the button and the symbol is shown, this indicates that you are under the normal or local time mode; if there is no such symbol after the name of the city, this means that you are under the global time mode.


2. Under the normal or local time mode, press the "SET" button and the "city name" will be flashing. Now the product is ready to be set up. You can select the city name or the name of a city that is in the same time zone as yours by using the and buttons. Then press the "ENTER" button to enter the city name. (You can press the "CLEAR" button to eliminate the city name chosen). Then, you can input the current year, month, date, AM/PM, hour and minute. (P indicates PM; if no P is shown, it means AM). Press the "ENTER" to complete the set up. To eliminate the data entered, press the "CLEAR" button.


3. When changing the local time for use when traveling to another city, you must first be in normal or local time mode. You can then press the name of the city in which you are located and then press "SET" to change to the local time. (For example: a user traveling from Hong Kong to Paris can select "PARIS" from the menu to view the current time in Paris).


4. To select between AM/PM or 24-hour format, press the "12/24" while in the normal or local time mode.


5. To choose Daylight Savings Time press the "SUMMER" button on the keypad. ("SUMMER" will be shown on the LCD).


6. To look at a monthly calendar between a different year from 1901 to 2099, you can choose such a month by using the and buttons. Afterwards, press the button to return to the normal or local time mode. Alternatively, the device will go back to the normal or local time mode automatically after 15 seconds.

World Time Mode/Calculator

World Time Mode:

32-City World Time Display


World time is the time of other major cities in the world. The year, month, date, day of week, hour, minute, second and current months calendar of a chosen city are shown simultaneously on the LCD screen.


1. To look at the time of another city, press the name of the city while you are under normal time mode. For more city names, press the and buttons to scroll through all of the names programmed in the databank. (There are a total of 32 major cities around the world that can be displayed).


2. To enter global time mode, first press the button. Then you can use the and buttons to scroll through the list of city names.

Calculator Function:
This device is equipped with a 12-digit calculator function, which includes the mathematical operations of %, +, -, x, ÷, M+, M-, MR, and MC

Phone Number Storage

This device is equipped to store 150 numbers and has a 2k byte capacity. One letter takes up 1 byte and a number takes up 0.5 bytes.


1. To store a phone number, first press the button to enter the Phone Number mode. "NAME?" will appear on the LCD.


2. Enter a persons name,with the maximum of 30 characters. (You can use the or buttons to move the cursor). Next, press "ENTER". Then, enter the phone number with a maximum of 30 characters. (You can use the and buttons to move the cursor). Next, press the "ENTER" button to store the data. When a number is stored correctly, "STORED" will appear on the LCD. Press the "CLEAR" button to eliminate data.


3. To look up phone numbers entered, you must first enter the Phone Number mode, then use the and buttons to scroll through the numbers.


4. To fast search for a phone number, first enter the Phone Number mode. Next, type in the first letter of the name of the persons number you are looking for, then quickly use the and buttons to locate the desired number.


5. To eliminate a phone number, first locate the number. Next, press the "CLEAR" button. Finally, press the "ENTER" button to eliminate the number.


6. To renew or insert a phone number, first locate the number. Next, press the "SHIFT" button . Press the or button to enter the Phone Number Renewal mode. Then, use the and buttons to point the cursor at the number that needs to be renewed or inserted. Input the new number. Press the "ENTER" button to complete the task. (Pressing the "CLEAR" button will delete the data).

Appointment Storage

1. First press the button and "SCHD?" will show on the LCD. Now, you enter into the Appointment Storing mode. Press the button to turn the alarm on or off for the appointment.


2. Enter the name of the appointment (maximum of 30 characters;use the and buttons to move the cursor).Press the "ENTER" button to enter the appointment name. Next, enter the appointment time. Press the "ENTER" button to save the time, or press "CLEAR" to eliminate it. When the appointment alarm is sent out, you can see symbol flashing on the LCD. You can press any button to turn the alarm off.


3. To look at appointments you must first enter the Appointment Storing mode. Then, use the and buttons to view the appointments stored.


4. To eliminate an appointment, locate the appropriate appointment and press the "CLEAR" button. Press the "ENTER" button to eliminate the appointment.


5. To change an appointment time, locate the appropriate appointment, press the "SHIFT" button, then press the or button the enter the Appointment Time Change mode. Then use the or buttons to point the cursor at the appointment time that needs to be changed. Enter the new time, then press "ENTER" to complete the task. (Press the "CLEAR" button to eliminate the data.)


Note:
1. The button controls the activation and deactivation of
the button sound.


2. When you enter letters or numbers, you can press the "SPACE" button to enter a space. If an insertion of a letter or number is desired, you can press the "SHIFT" button and then the button. If you need to delete a letter or number, you
can press the "SHIFT" button and then the button.

Alarm

Alarm Function
To set one alarm for a specific time of day.
1. First, press the button to enter the Alarm mode. Then turn the alarm on or off by pressing the or the button. When the alarm is on, the symbol should appear on the LCD screen

.
2. To set the alarm time, you can press the "SET" button while under the Alarm mode and enter the time desired. (To select AM or PM, press the AM/PM button). Next, you can press the "ENTER" button to enter the time or "CLEAR" button to eliminate the time.


3. When the alarm sound is sent out, the symbol should be flashing on the display. Now, you can press any button to turn off the alarm sound. Alternatively, the alarm will be turned off automatically after one minute.


4. After you are finished setting the alarm, press the button to return to normal time mode.

Conversions

Conversions Between Different Monetary Units or Physical Units

This device allows the storage of 5 different monetary unit and 9 different physical units.

Conversions Between Different Monetary Units:
If you press the "CONV" button once while under any mode, you will enter the Monetary Unit Conversion mode.
1. To set exchange rates first enter the Monetary Units Conversion mode and then press the "SET" button. Next, enter the currency's name and then press the "ENTER" button. Input the exchange rate and press the "ENTER" button again.
(Exchange rates between 5 different monetary units can be set).

2. Under the Monetary Unit Conversion mode, you can use the and buttons to access the exchange rates of other currencies.


3. To carry out a conversion between different currencies:


Enter an amount in one currency and press the "ENTER" button to obtain the amount in another currency. Press the or button to carry out a reversal of the conversion.

Conversions Between Different Physical Units:
If you press the "CONV" button twice while under any mode, you will enter the Physical Unit Conversion mode.
(Conversions between 9 different physical units can be set).


1. Under the Physical Unit Conversion mode, you can use the and buttons to access the conversions of other physical units.


2. To carry out conversions between amounts in different physical units: Enter a certain amount in one physical unit and press the "ENTER" button to obtain the equivalent in another physical unit. Press the or button to carry out a reversal of the conversion.

Battery Removal

Use the diagram above to remove and replace the battery.
*THE BATTERIES MUST BE REPLACED WITHIN ONE MINUTE.
1. Slide out the side panel on the right side of the device.
2. Replace the battery with CR 2025 3V.
3. When "RESET?" is shown on the LCD, DO NOT press the "ENTER" button. ALL DATA WILL BE DELETED IF THIS BUTTON IS PRESSED AT THIS TIME!
